Many of my career choices were driven by curiosity - both creative and intellectual - and a desire to try something new. Overall this paid off nicely, but I recognise that an experienced guide or mentor would have made a world of difference in this journey. I tried various career coaches. A lot of them. While several were in fact great coaches, none of them really understood the specific intricacies of navigating a career as a full time creative. The creative path is one unlike any other industry. A creative doesn't grow the way say, an accountant does. The creative industry has its own rules, and unless you have been there, it is hard to understand.

So I decided to do something about it. I enrolled in a 5 part, 15 day classroom course with Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) - one of the countries top coaching programs. By the time I had graduated, I had received over 100 hours of training. With this training I have helped multiple private clients in the creative field define a pathway to the outcomes they desire. The training also gave me critical listening and questioning skills which made me a much more effective creative director and team leader.

Outside of private clients I also do mentorship work with Stanford University and startup accelerator StartX.
